The Ambulance Service is a “Business” and should not be treated the same as running a Fire Agency. California Fire agencies are more interested in getting into the ambulance business now more than ever before. We need to understand the business principles of running an ambulance company, have a better understanding of how the fire service fits into the Health Care Ecosystem and develop the skills required to be successful in a competitive contract process.
